That's a good point. I suppose the price on the vfp site should be corrected then, as it may give the impression that people get a "special" price when buying from the MS shop site. :)
But I suppose the bigger point is that you can get a few more products by buying MSDN pro (especially VS.Net) for a couple of hundred dollars more.

MSDN Professional upgrade is $899, but if you select the DVD version you get a $110 rebate which makes MSDN Pro upgrade only $789. With MSDN Pro, you get VFP 6, 7, and 8 full version, VS .NET, VS 6.0, various versions of Windows, etc.
