Yes, which makes me wonder if it really was 24/7, surely the place closes at some stage, perhaps he was going home very late, sleeping for a few hours, then popping back to the cafe for the entire day, then repeat, rinse, repeat.
You are right about the parents though, she even said on the report that she knew where he was, and he lies and steals to keep going......
