This comparison is on the level because you get the full version of VFP8 with MSDN and you qualify for MSDN professional upgrade pricing with your current copy of VFP.

Just to clarify here. The retail price of VFP 8.0 full version is $649, not $549. See http://shop.microsoft.com/Referral/Productinfo.asp?siteID=11518. If someone has VFP 5, 6, 7, or 8, then they can obtain any level of MSDN at the 'upgrade' price. MSDN Professional upgrade is $899, but if you select the DVD version you get a $110 rebate which makes MSDN Pro upgrade only $789. With MSDN Pro, you get VFP 6, 7, and 8 full version, VS .NET, VS 6.0, various versions of Windows, etc.
