I have a project where I need to emulate the label and textbox Resizer controls of the Form Designer. You know, where you click on the object and the "selected frame" with 6 resizer handles appears. I've already got the application where the user can place an object and move it to the proper location and set some properties, that was fairly simple.

For the resizer I've played with DrawRectangle, which requires "Undrawing" it as the user moves the object and seems overly complex.

I'm starting to play with multiple objects combined into a separate User control.

But before I go over this cliff I wanted to ask if anyone has seen a book, article or reference where creating this feature is discussed? Or can point me in the best direction? Or give any advice? I don't want to try to reinvent the wheel!
