The problem seems to occur when there's two or more child records for any given parent record. The parent table contains a record for each of the child records in the child for that parent. the duplicate records have ****** in every field. If I set stat on and scroll through the database the record number remains the same fot each of the the parent records & their suplicates.

If I open the parent table on its own without the one to many relationship the strange records disapear.
