YOu can turn of whether a VFP textbox displays the seconds, why not the full time. I think it is a little different. But, as you say, I will 'deal' with it.

I don't see that what you're suggesting is really any different than saying that there should be a simple way to set a textbox controlsource to only deal with the 1st (or middle, or whatever) 5 characters of a 15 character field. I doubt it comes up much, and when it does, we just have to improvise.
