Many people lost his/her jobs. The ship yard is gone.

>3. There was a serious riot the night that the verdict for Dan White was given. Dan White killed Mayor Moscone and Harvey Milk (the most famous homosexual in San Francisco). People broke all the windows at city hall, set fires and destroyed about a dozen police cars. Mayor Di gave the word to the police chief while the television cameras picked up every word, “Do nothing”, so the police did nothing and let the crowd express anger at the verdict, which they did not agree with.

>4. This appeared on 60 minutes while Mayor Di was mayor. There is a Catholic Grammar School near a park in the middle of San Francisco. The park is used by the kids as a short cut to go home. It is very open and has lots of grass and meandering paths and very little “cover” like bushes, etc. Homosexuals would be committing sex acts (disrobed from the waist down) next to the paths, in full view of the public. CBS sent a camera crew to video the activity which they did. The crew taped the kids walking on the paths and the homosexuals carrying out their acts. The film was shown to Mayor Di with the CBS crew taping her reaction. “Those (homosexuals) are my constituents”! End of story – no further comment. Homosexuals first, families and kids do not rate. And on to Senator of the United States! This was shown on national television with the lower bodies of the homosexuals distorted (but you could see what they were doing) and the faces of the children were distorted also.

>5. AIDS was and is a big problem. Doctor Phil Silverman was at the time considered to be the leading authority on AIDS in our area, and the Head of the Board of Public Health in San Francisco. He told Mayor Di that the San Francisco “Bath Houses” (a place where gays had sex) had to be closed to help stop the spread of AIDS. Mayor Di fired Dr. Silverman on the spot!
