>I would like to create JPG files that contain the contents of a SQL Server 2000 image field. I can issue the SQLExec command and get the results in a General field but from what I've read this is not very efficient space-wise and it would be better to get the data into a memo field first. I also don't know how to get the data out of the general field. I've seen how to put data from a memo field into a SQL Server table but I haven't seen the opposite. How can I get the data but prevent it being put into a General field? Is there a way to convert the contents of the General field to a memo field or some other technique?

Larry,

Take a look at How to work with Image field type on SQL Server (binary data)? FAQ #7995.
