Ric, Valid fires before LostFocus and determines if the control will actually lose focus at all. If Valid returns .F. the focus remains with the control. If it returns .T. focus can be lost and the LostFocus can fire. Its a part of the event sequence model which helps (hopefully) to program in a logical manner.
