>>Paul, again thank you. Where can I find out how to drive the Acrobat reader? I ask this because my next question is - Is it possible to print an Acrobat document using just the reader without the document interface ever becoming visible?

The reader installs an ActiveX control that can be automated. It's the same control used when displaying a PDF in the web browser. It's pretty crappy and isn't particularly stable, though. If you just need to pop up a PDF once in a while, it works OK. But if PDF handling is a bigger part of the application, I wouldn't use it; it crashes a LOT. The full version of Acrobat includes a much better object model and is a lot more stable.
