In addition to the advice from others, it's not a good idea to paste pictures into Word. When you do so, they sit on a different layer of the document than the text itself. You get much more reliable results by saving pictures to files and then inserting them with Insert-Picture-From File.

BTW, like Craig, I use SnagIt and think it's great.
