I found this old code below and it was helpful for my problem as well.
However, When I'm at the bottom line (I have allowaddnew=.T. in the grid)
then I cant get it to add a new line.

I am glad that you found the code useful. Off the top of my head, I would say that you need to add a check to see if you are on the last row in the grid ( do a skip and see if you are at eof() and then skip -1 ). If you are and the combo is not dropped, then issue a DODEFAULT( nKeyCode, nShiftAltCtrl )
