What form object are you basing your form on? Some of them have defaults set that may need to be changed or worked around.

There are a number of things you may want to check. I'll wait until you provide more details.

There is more than one way to pass a parameter to a view. SOmetimes it is a good idea to pass it first from the Primary BO's "initially selected alias" to a property on the form, where it won't disappear, and then pass from there to the view.

Have you discovered the wealth of information and suggestions built into the ProjMgr project that's included with MM? Look, particularly, at the ProjectsForm.

In the mean time, hang in there! It's worth it.
