Hi Tony
I didn't write a Component Load Balancing engine in VFP, but we've been successfully using the native COM+ CLB (shipped with Application Center 2000) for balancing VFP components. If the business scale requires -and allows- such infrastructure, it's definitely worth using it.

The ComAdmin library is mainly intended to configuring the COM+ environment, and can be successfully used from VFP for such tasks, but it isn't of much help for monitoring the running components. I read something about runtime info given by the ApplicationInstances Collection (accessed by the Application collection) but didn't actually try it.

Hope this helps - Regards
Jose.
