>>Using the NAME clause in the SET PRINTER TO allows the correct printer to be selected unless it is a local printer at the user's desk or the PDF Writer from anywhere. The error is: Error accessing printer spooler. If I don't use the NAME clause then it doesn't always select the correct printer, but if I do use it then there is an error with some printers. Any thoughts?

>I've no problem with PDFWriter selected by SET PRINTER TO NAME. We're using old version of wwPDF and I had to change SET PRINTER TO to SET PRINTER TO NAME in order to get it to work. I don't have local printer to test. Did you try on another PC?
Yeah, it happens on different machines. If I remove the NAME clause there is no error, but it will not always print to the correct printer. Someone gave advice that the NAME clause was needed to ensure the correct printer was being selected rather than the port. If I put the NAME clause in then we consistently get the error for the PDF Writer and local (LPT1) printers.
