Hi all,
My employer is evaluating databases for a possible change from our current backend and I'm wondering about the installed base of MS SQL Server. I'm pushing a VFP front end and middle tier solution and lean towards SQL Server (because that's my past experiance).

Anyone have an idea of the installed base? I want to compare "community support" to products like Progress and Informix and am thinking of using installed base for comparison. SQL Server has more than enough power and I'm assuming that the others will as well, so I'm mainly looking at the relative "non-vendor" support right now. Thanks.
