The security update has really put a hamper on a lot of developer for using the MAPI interface. A lot of people have started to use SMTP components for the transmission of email so that they can completely bypass the whole issue entirely.
Using an SMTP component, you can talk directly to the mail servers and skip the security boxes, and outlook altogether.
