Having driven a hummer in the military too many times, it makes me laugh at the thought that anyone would want to buy one, let alone spend that much money on one! They have their purpose in the military, but on city streets in city traffic for recreational use? They should be off-road vehicles only if not driven for military use (convoys, military action, etc). They are really something to handle too--you might as well go out and buy a 5-ton or lowboy and drive it to get groceries!

>>>A few weeks ago President Bush signed a bill to “help American small businesses and create more jobs for Americans”.

>>>A small business that buys a SUV will be given a tax right off. One example given on the news was a $106,000 Hummer that gets 6 miles per gallon (off a cliff) would be entitled to a $75,000 return. How is that for improving the economy and employment in America?

>I must admit that I see more Hummers in my area (Sunnyvale-Cupertino) then ever before. They cannot fit into a large parking space. Yellow seems to be "the color of choice". Maybe that color is on sale. Ha!

>Gas just went down to $2.0499 for regular at Arco this morning at 0500 hours. Could they just make it $2.05? No - that old marketing ploy - charge an extra .99 cents and everyone says, $2.04 a gallon. Guess I should run out and get a Hummer now that gasoline is "more affordable". I could carry my own white stripes made of tape and make a parking space wherever I park. What an idea! :)
