There are not reason Alex to be sued by other contrractor, but there are possibility to be sued by his contractee for wrong consultancy advice.
He should give correct advice to firm which hire him to evaluate the project.
He is a party in that contract.
He do not carry any responsibilities what kind of decision will get CEO of contractee. He is obligated to give proper advice to him, which will lead to less lost for the firm. Or may be to give expetize, which will be used from his contractee in the court for lost refunding.
