Does anyone know how to make a table in one Access database be linked to another table in a different database? Basically I have two databases with with tables in each and they both have the same structure, number of fields etc. They contain data that I want to keep separate however so I don't want to just append records from one table to the next. I know that if you create a link in a database all that does is make a 'shortcut' if you will to the table from that database. I want join properties that include all fields from both tables, not just where they are both equal or one has records that the other has. I essentially want to be able to search both databases and both tables and have it appear as one table to the end user but have the actual data separate. The main table is to be updatable by the user and the other table only updatable by myself. Can anyone help please?
Thank you!
