My previous profession was as an electronics engineer at Ampex Corporation, and I have a strong background in audio/video, both analog and digital. Also, as a flamenco guitarist I do a lot of recording using tape and computer technology. I am always interested in learning anything new or different so I would like to pose a question.

What is the advantage or reason “to store audio files within a Visual FoxPro and SQL database”, as opposed to just defining the path and name of a separate audio file within a table?
