>But a funny thing happened on the way to the forum.
Sounds like a line from a Mel Brookes' movie!
Does the EULA say "DO NOT INSTALL ON LINUX"?
Does the EULA say "DO NOT CONNECT THROUGH ODBC TO LINUX SERVER"
Remember the Lindows "list" of names M$ lawyers acquired through a court order! How many MVPs will come out of that list?
Anybody loose money on an MSNBC/CNBC stock reccomendation?
If I buy a non-M$ product, will I be wearing an orange jumb suit and live in a wire mesh cage in Quantanamo?
The "look and feel" test said it was okay QuatroPro and Excel and Lotus to have similar menu trees, functionality and appearance. Someone, somewhere, is building a "clone" (if they haven't already) that will do what we want and protect M$ from our infringeent on their EULA.
It makes you wonder, had the government prevailed, and M$ was forced to split into a seperate OS and Desktop company: Would we even be having this discussion today?.
I have issues with M$, but I support the "Fox Team" :-).
