Doug,
You have a good memory! I have not been following VFP 8 much to this point. In the past I always just automatically moved up to the new versions when they were released. However, the distribution of runtime files proved to be such a problem with VFP 7 ( the files are self registering on 99.5% of machines but that .5% can be a real problem) that I have almost convinced myself to stay with 7 unless I could see an overriding reason to move on. The fact that VFP 8 automatically recognizes and throws an error when the reccount gets out of synch with the number of records may be just the thing that does it. We still have several clients where this still occurs on a fairly regular basis. Thanks for the input...
A problem is a problem only as long as it has a possible solution. Lacking that, it becomes a FACT!
