Thanks for the additional thoughts.

I have generally relied on Installshield too, with its path variables and virtual folders like SYSTEM_FOLDER.

You've already been generous with your time, so I'll toss this out to anyone listening.

How does one use IS to install and register a specific dll? I've always used the canned merge modules that magically took care of this. I know how to use the IS file operation to copy MyDZ.dll to SYSTEM_FOLDER, but what about the registry step? Does this require a handwritten registry entry of some sort?
