This is the MSDN explanation for this error. Very helpful.
Visual FoxPro Reference

Error accessing printer spooler (Error 1957)

An internal call to the GetPrinter( ) function has failed. Visual FoxPro
calls this function through either PRTINFO( ) or SET PRINTER TO.
>Using the NAME clause in the SET PRINTER TO allows the correct printer to be selected unless it is a local printer at the user's desk or the PDF Writer from anywhere. The error is: Error accessing printer spooler. If I don't use the NAME clause then it doesn't always select the correct printer, but if I do use it then there is an error with some printers. Any thoughts?
