Does anyone know of a way to detect an MX record on a DNS server.
I've written an application that needs to validate email addresses.

I've already got the structure sorted via regular expressions. I can also check that the domain exists using pingx (check out pingx on fox.wikis.com)

Know all I need is to verify that the domain has a mail server. (a bit like nslookup)

Any ideas?
