Is the form interface VFP8 by now? If not, keep in mind the following:
1) prior VFP versions will NOT fail/error if "corruption" happens.
2) Since VFP8 WILL error/fail, it can provide additional clues towards solving the problem.

I understand that no 2 users are likely to EVER be trying to edit the same record at the same time, but that doesn't seem to be related to the problem here.
Something is "corrupting" the header record count even though no 2 users are accessing the table simultaneously.

I'll let you know if I see anything in the code, but I suspect that it's OK.


>I dont know when the corruption occured. The app that ran that process was vfp7, until recently, today. However that process is the only thing that happens to punchparams.dbf except for normal form interface record editing. It is very unlikely that 2 users were trying to access the same record at the same time & that process executes after hours.
