I did not get any errors with this code.
AND
IT WORKS!!!!!!!!!!

I thought it did not work at first because I saw the 1st query and it shows the CLOSED inmate. Then I closed that query and I guess the next one ran (I placed the code in a prg and ran it), and HELLO, there it is, the OPEN inmate.

Man, I sure do appreciate the help. You probably know this but this is a very powerful query. Why? That means anytime I need the latest child txn for a parent, I can get it. For tables in 3rd normal form this will be EXTREMLY helpful.
