I use Moz and it is a CPU hog. No AV on any machine internal here - Trend Micro in the firewall - so that helps some. I tried Netscape 7 - it lasted about a day before I gave it the boot - too much baggage :-)
>Jim,
> I used Netscape and even Mozilla for a few months each. I found they were sucking up a lot of resources on my workstation. I liked the features, and some of protection they provided. however, the drain was causing my network connection to drop. As soon as I turned them off, I stopped dropping off the network. I would start them up, without the SysTray icon enabled, and dropped from the network. I also noticed a performance boost without ever starting either application. After using them once, my system responded sluggishly. But I might have something else on my system like Norton AV, which is company policy, working in conjunction with those products causing this behaviour.
