I've run your program, and I get the same delay you do.

So far, the only thing I've noticed is that the ftp handle is closed after the internet handle which invalidates the ftp handle (GetLastError() = 6).

Closing the ftp handle before the internet handle corrects that problem but does not fix the delay.

I did notice, that the delay seems to be exactly 60 seconds (plus 1 or 2 milliseconds) in each case that I ran ... so it's quite possible that this is related to some "setting".

Also, the "FreeLibrary" WINAPI call appears to work and can be used instead of multiple CLEAR DDLs; however, the delay is the same in processing the call. This would seem to indicate that the problem "may" not be VFP.

I'll let you know if I notice anything else related to the delay problem.
