my take on it was they needed to get to you before you reviewed the WhilFest proposals (for those not familiar with this year's themes: VFP, .NET, and Linux). The only thing you could have done to get MS more interested <s> would have been to make the themes "VFP, .NET on Linux, and VFP on Linux." <s>

Thanks for the clarification. Russell Pavlicek wrote in his Linux column "what do you want to see on Linux." I wrote him it needed a good 4GL database development tool like VFP. <s> And that there seemed to be a EULA problem from the MS point of view.
