>Starbuck's has purchased rival Seattle's best... now we will have 3 Starbucks on everyone block. Vancouver was famous in the coffee work because we had 2 Starbucks kitty corner to each other. Now, in fact we have 3 cases of this.

Evan;

Everything changes. I am sure the goal of Starbucks is to increase profit so something good can come of it for a limited number of people. I know of an area in San Francisco where there are five Starbucks within one city block!

Some day a giant tea company will buy Starbucks and will serve only tea. Big companies always have a vision of "what the customer should want". :)

Did you know that at one time England drank coffee and not tea? Then the price of coffee increased around the late 1600's and tea was in! During my life time a large number of United States citizens (born here) have told me they drink coffee because the English drink tea! Crazy!

Had the price of coffee not increased in the 1600’s, we would not have been taxed for tea, which lead to the Boston Tea Party, a precursor to the Revolutionary War. The United States would not exist – we would still be “The Colonies”, and everyone would be enjoying a bit of coffee rather than tea! Canada would still have French and British elements and be a free nation, and would be the worlds super power. See what happens to history when taxes go up?

My wife is from Peru and introduced me to café con leche, coffee with milk. This is a typical beverage in Latin countries. You heat a cup of milk and add a shot of coffee with sugar to taste. Very tasty! What we serve as coffee in this country is similar to hot axel grease!

I will have a Venti Moca, decafe, non fat, with no whipped cream! That sure beats that stuff we had in the Air Force. The brew from the Air Force required no cup. It held its own shape. One eight ounce serving kept you awake for 24 hours!
