The cursor already has and index number saved, that's how it returns to the correct record if you double click a grid item.

select *, recno() as indexrecord ;

the grid just ignores the last field.
All that would need to be done would be to update the changes made.

I agree, then there would be no need for a list.

As far as the datetime picker, I've used it several times in my apps with no real problems.
