A subquery, referred to in the following arguments, is a SELECT within a 
SELECT and must be enclosed in parentheses. You can have one subquery in the
WHERE clause (see that section of the arguments). Subqueries can contain
multiple join conditions.
Also, there is a 9-join limit in VFP SELECT statements.

I see your issue here; my experience is with using a VFP Com server in .NET, so .NET can gain the full advantage of VFP, in terms of businessrules etc. that are integrated into the framework we (Frank Camp, who adapted the framework and did the .NET stuff, and I) use.
