My opinion is that it would be great to be able to run the vfp runtime on linux. That way my web apps (via west-wind web Connection) could run on 3x as many servers as it does now!

However, the EULA seems "pretty" clear on restrictions concerning the "Redistributables" ( well REDIST.TXT for vfp7/8 does not seem to list the runtimes directly while the visual studion 6 redist.txt does). What is less clear is how the full version of VFP is restricted.

My stance is that I will follow the EULA -- it just doesn't make any sense to do anything else. I am licensing the product from MS, so they rightly control its distributed use.
