>>I need a work-around for this new "feature" that was introduced in VFP8. When a dropdown list is active and the mouse pointer happens to be over the list, the list item that is directly under the mouse pointer remains highlighted even though i've used the arrow keys to select a different item.

Let me rephrase the question < g >. In a combo box configured as a drop down list, hit the space bar and the list appears. Then I can move up and down the list with the arrow keys and as I move, the text portion of the combo displays the new data AND the highlight in the list also moves as expected. BUT, if the mouse cursor happens to be positioned over the drop down list, the highlight on the list stays in that mouse item while the text portion of the combo displays the correct item according to the arrow keys.

Is that confusing enough?? BTW, I just checked and it does that in VFP7 also.

Ken
