Long time i didn't see or hear from you. I hope everything is well with you and that you have a happy passover. Here are a few remarks.

>I think the font problem with the reports exists only in windows 98 and ME. With windows 95,XP,2000 etc it seems fine.
There are two kinds of font problems in reports. The first one exists only up to Win98 or Me, and almost never appears in Win2k or XP: that's the alignment of hebrew in report preview when not using Courier New or some Fixed font. In Win2k or XP this works ok enough with Arial or other fonts i tried.

The problem i was referring to still happens also in VFP8, and also in Win2k - XP Pro. I just select any field in the report, and set the font to any TrueType font ( specially those without hebrew, like MS Comic ), and the field disapears at design time. It is showed at run-time, but it's quite tedious to use it...

>1. The combo and listbox occasionally go nuts when the RightToLeft property is set with alignment=1(right) . This means that when trying to use the scrollbar dragging it down causes the records to go up. Unfortunately dragging it up becomes impossible in this situation.

This is a know issue for me too. The only work-around my users found, is to click the first time on the combo-arrow, click-back WITHOUT SCROLLING, and click again on the arrow the start scrolling the list...That's why i never use the combo for lookups anymore, but rather some form with a grid where i added incremental search...

>2. Edit boxes do not work properly: If the controlsource is a field (i.e. mytable.remarks) hebrew and english get mixed up. The solution is to use a memory variable (then it works properly)

Yup. The editbox is even a problem when disabled and showing hebrew content. The alignment and justification get mixed up.

>4. With VFP7 & VFP 8 and windows XP (only) the debugger gets all messed up.

I can use the debugger in 7 and 8 and XP Pro. I got some crashes here and there, and didn't know if this was because i previously used the debugger. Since it asks me to send the data to Microsoft, i always click on Send :-)

All the best,
Jaime

I am trying now to play with the settings ( i.e FontCharSet properties and family ) and alignments to see if there is any setting that works :-((

Why do programs stop working correctly as soon as you leave the Fox?
