The first thing you should do (if you haven't done so already) is to get the latest service pack. The latest service pack for VFP 6 is SP5 - available from
http://msdn.microsoft.vfoxpro.
Unfortunately, it is a large download (ca. 70 MB), but several causes of "fatal error" were solved in some of the service packs.
Otherwise, I would think that the READ EVENTS by itself isn't such a problematic command... pressumably, some object on form "logo", that gets the focus, is causing trouble.
Perhaps, debugging step-by-step (starting just before the READ EVENTS command) will show you more details?
