The actual sound that CHR(7) produces will depend on the SET BELL setting. See the VFP help.

You can adjust keypress rate under Windows control panel - keyboard properties. You might find an API way to set this from within a VFP program on the www.news2news.com website. However, changing a users keyboard repeat rate might upset the end-user and is not advisable.

A better solution would then be to record the beep you require, for short and long morse sounds, into a WAV file. Then play the sound file as required and force a wait for completion. Again I suggest looking through the news2news website for how to play a WAV file and wait for completion.
