I am getting killed with Event ID Errors 1000 and 1001. I read recently from an MS Add about VFP 8.0 being more stable than 7.0 with SP1. I beg to differ to say it nicely. To put it bluntly I say BS just typical marketing.

I switched over to 8.0 about a week and a half ago from 7.0. I had been developing on 7.0 on this box for awhile and never saw any of these errors. On Thursday alone of last week 64 errors. Each one VFP 8.0 bailing out of the Development env and many of the times work not being saved.

I keep backing down my XP development machine to a more and more basic config trying to see what will get me back to some semblance of stability, Hoping to find a foothold until there is SP.

I tried to be an early adopter purchaser to show financial support for VFP and MS and having developed somethings based upon 8.0 only features (I.E. Collections) I am beginning to feel cornered getting angrier by the day.

Then I read threads regarding MS's self centered self centric VFP and Linux stance. Just to think that I have helped so much add to the 40+ billion $'s of cash in their bank account.
