I have been working with this FPW 2.6 application that runs on a win2k server and is accessed remotely by users running remote desktop (MSTSC) from their XP computers.

The app behaves itself mostly except sometimes I find that although the user has shut down the application and even logged out of their remote session, locks are still held by the system for that user.

When another user tries to access this record they cannot as there is a lock on this and many other records. I have to close down the locks using "Computer Management" before the locks are released. Sometimes these locks number in the 100's although the application does unlock every record it locks and file locks are never used.

Is this a WIN 2k issue or a Foxpro issue?
Can anyone point me to some links/KB articles that will help. I have searched but cannot find anything relevant.

My network Admin blames Foxpro for everything and I need some data to show him.

Thanks in advance

Bernard
