Where did you 'hear' that? Can you point to a document that says that MS will stop developing Visual FoxPro at any point in time?

For that matter, can you find a document that says they will continue developing VB.Net (or .Net framework) or any product until XX time?

I think all anyone can tell you is what is observable. VFP 8.0 is a viable development environment that is available now. It has a large user base and even if MS dropped off the face of the earth would allow for development of a solid product. Also, we are told by MS that version 9.0, project named Europa is in the works.

Rumors are just that, rumors. Alot of them based on some Gartner article of over 10 years ago.
