Title:
DBC Designer inconsistency?
Yesterday, creating a new .DBC and tables for it using VFP8 I noticed that, when clicking/holding the pointer on a field name of a displayed table in the Table Designer area, the FORMAT/LENGTH was displayed in the ToolTip. When I had included a description then the FORMAT/LENGTH was shown first, followed by the description that I had entered.
This was a very nice little addition and I went back and removed the format/length info that I had included in my own description entries.
Today I started to create yet another .DBC, basically going through all the same motions as yesterday.
HOWEVER, in the tables created this time the ToolTip DOE NOT include the FORMAT/LENGTH information as it does in the other .DBC!#@$!#@
There seems to be some setting that needs to be set in order to get the behaviour observed yesterday (and still prevalent today for THAT .DBC).
Does anyone know what that setting is? I see nothing apparent in the .DBC Properties dialog.
Thanks
