Many people in the Linux community have an automatic gag reflex against anything with the Microsoft name on it. They'll stay away from it just because it's from MS. Read some of the threads on slashdot about the EULA controversy and you'll see what I mean.

However, with the press that this Linux/VFP flap is getting in the Linux world, they just might see VFP on Linux as a "David vs Goliath" thing and support it.
