>A while ago I saw an article in FoxPro Advisor that described using SMTP to build a VFP "chat" function in VFP. I am not able to find the referrence. Anyone remember this one - or have any other suggestions or a direction to head to implement such a feature in a VFP app?

Hi, Richard.

I think you're probably recalling an article in FoxTalk. As Iremember it, it used Winsock to make the connection. Another possibility can be using MSN Instant Messenger right away. You can do it trough the use of its API. Just go to the Messenger website (or MSDN) and search for it. It's not so difficult. Indeed, FoxPro Advisor DID published an article about this, by Andy McNeil.

Hope this helps,
