The first only seems to apply to Foxpro (up to 2.6) and Foxbase. There is no mention anywhere of VFP, so I think there is no problem there.
The second; well, Microsoft has now said that while Office can be run on Linux, they will only support it if the problem can be shown to be also a problem when run on a Windows platform, and that it's up to the user to prove it.
Neither of those change a thing with regard to the VFP distributables controversy.
