Sorry about the delay in responding, but I found a solution and did not bother checking back for a short time <g>.

We wanted the two forms to operate independently (example: if one form opened a modal form, we wanted the user to be able to switch to the other top level form). One of the top-level forms was the VFP desktop, so that may have been the difficulty, but we were not going to rearchitect our whole application to avoid the VFP desktop, so separating the two forms was our next-best option.

Watch out for unwanted keystroke/menu/toolbar interactions between the two top-level forms, also.
