>>Members in my UG are purged at 1 year of inactivity. You must remember most people are very busy. They will only show up when they are desperate for something. If you purge too quickly they get upset that you did 'axe' them. So it is a two way street. This is something not yet discussed in VFUG since we are so new.

I imagine their disappointment when they get a total different thing. They will never come back. After all, not all the peoples are Fox programmers, but nobody ask them about it when they establish their account.

At the intro is a pretty detailed explanation of VFUG. They must submit a request to be joined & then approved based on e-mail address & name. We can't make it too tough because a lot of these guys do not speak good english. I am sure some members will never log on again -- it is just a fact. But we also cannot get too restrictive about who joins either. I am sure we will fine tune things as we go but for now this is the way we think is good -- at least for now. It is not restrictive but yet we do check who signs on.

BTW, we have caught a couple of bogus entries & they were deleted from the membership.
