Exactly - and if anyone thinks that VFP will be marketed to the decision makers - the odds are probably better at winning the lottery. Reading all these threads in the last few years or so - I can't understand why people still have some expectation that VFP will be marketed to the IT Community at large. At one time I was one of those who let the lack of VFP visibility bother me - but not anymore.
Everyone here knows that VFP is a great product - but the reality is that it is way back on the depth chart at MS behind SQL Server, .Net and even VB6 (which is still used extensively and will be for some time). Since MS owns VFP - they can market it however they choose.
In this part of the world, the Fox is extinct - and has been for some time. I haven't seen a single IT job posting for VFP around these parts in over four years - so in order to put food on the table and beer in the fridge, I shifted to VB-SQL. Not because it's "better" - but because it is much more widely accepted. And, bottom line, I need my beer !
