If you run it from your machine and the installation is on your machine it fails, and if you run the installation on your machine that is located on another computer's share it runs?
I have had this problem, but in the reverse. I have found that I have had to run it almost always from the client machine with the installation located on the client machine. I believe this has to do with the way the installation is setup.
